1. Information we collect

When you request an estimate or book an optional phone consultation, we may collect your name, phone number, email address, project location or ZIP code, selected service, project details, consultation selection and any project photos you choose to attach.

The website may also receive limited technical information needed to operate and secure the service, such as request timestamps, browser/network information and anti-abuse signals.

2. How we use information

We use submitted information to review your enquiry, contact you about your project, arrange an optional phone consultation, maintain the enquiry in our customer-management system, prevent abuse and operate the website securely.

Submitting an estimate request does not enrol you in SMS marketing. The website currently records that SMS marketing consent is not collected.

3. Service providers used by the website

Cloudflare hosts the website and its server-side functions. Project photos are stored in private Cloudflare storage rather than being made publicly browsable.

Lofty is used as the customer relationship management and consultation-calendar system. Estimate details are sent to Lofty so the Excellent Excavation team can manage and follow up on the enquiry. When a photo upload succeeds, the relevant Lofty lead receives a note containing a protected link to that photo.

Tawk.to provides the live-chat window on every page. When the chat widget loads, Tawk.to receives technical information such as your IP address and browser details. Anything you type into the chat, including any contact details you choose to share, is sent to Tawk.to so the Excellent Excavation team can reply.

This website does not take payments online and does not enable website analytics. This policy will be updated if that changes.

4. Cookies and browser storage

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. It stores one preference in your browser, ees-theme, which remembers whether you chose the light or dark version of the site. It contains no personal information, is not sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes it.

Page fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser requests those font files from Google when a page loads.

The Tawk.to chat widget stores its own cookies and browser storage so a chat conversation continues as you move between pages. These are set by Tawk.to and are covered by Tawk.to’s own privacy policy.

5. Project photos

Attaching photos is optional. Supported photos are uploaded only after the estimate request has been accepted. If a photo fails to upload, the estimate request can still remain successfully received. Protected photo links are intended for authorised business use and are time-limited.

6. Sharing and disclosure

Information is shared with service providers only where needed to host the website, process the enquiry, manage the CRM/calendar or store attached project photos. We may also disclose information where required by law or where reasonably necessary to protect the website, the business or others from misuse or fraud.

7. Data retention and security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the website, including server-side API credentials, signed upload links and private photo storage. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Information is retained for as long as reasonably needed to handle the enquiry, maintain appropriate business records and meet legal or operational obligations.
